Group bookings are the easiest way to boost your sales. Generally speaking a group is defined as 8 or more passengers traveling together on a common flight, ship or tour. You will notice that reservations for 7 or more passengers cannot be made on the website. How then can you make these reservations? The answer is simply to contact the vendor’s group desk. For instance: you need to make air reservations for 10 people traveling from Jackson, Mississippi to Denver, Colorado. A quick check on the website will tell you which carriers offer service in that market. You can then call that airline’s group desk, identify yourself as an outside RTA with YTB and proceed with the reservation information. This would be the same format used for every type of group booking. Use the website as a resource/reference tool and then contact the group desk of the particular vendor with whom you want to make reservations.

Group payment policies:
Payment policies will vary by vendor and it is your responsibility to make all payment arrangements with the vendor. The fulfillment center does not handle credit card payments for passengers traveling as part of a group. If the payment needs to be made by check, you will need to send a certified check or money order to YTB Travel and we will then in turn issue the vendor a company check. Please allow 7-10 days processing time for all check payments.

How do I receive my commission?
As with any direct booking you must submit a Commission Claim Form in order for us to track the booking. These can be found (in the back office of your fundraising website) by clicking on My Account > Commissions or by clicking on RTA Tools > Forms. The form must be submitted prior to the travel date in order for commission to be paid, and ideally should be submitted as the final step in the booking process. Remember that group air reservations normally do not pay commission. Check with the vendor to verify the commission policy.
